An ultra-pure silica gel of more than 99.99% purity is used for the COSMOSIL® SL-II packed column series. Thus, chemical compounds having carbonyl or phenol hydroxyl groups that could not be clearly separated using conventional silica gel columns can be separated with improved reproducibility and with better baseline resolution.
