COSMOSIL® 5C22-AR-II utilizing longer alkyl chains (C22) than C18 (ODS) is especially effective for the separation of fat-soluble compounds. As COSMOSIL® 5C22-AR-II is polymeric bonded type, therefore it has strong acid resistance just like the 5C18-AR-II. These columns retain high performance even if acidic mobile phase is used to separate proteins and peptides. COSMOSIL® 5C22-AR-II employs ultrapure silica gel low in metal impurities, thus chelating compounds can be separated sharply.
