Product Information
Blocking is indispensable in immunoassays in order to block non-specific binding reactions. Blocking One contains both high molecular weight compounds and bovine serum protein. Blocking One is superior to conventional blocking solutions. The preservative in Blocking One does not affect the enzyme activity of peroxidase (POD) or alkaline phosphatase (ALP). Only simple refrigerator storage is necessary, even after opening the bottle.

Applications
Linearity in quantitative protein analysis
This product does not contain preservative which affects the enzyme activity of Peroxidase (POD) or Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP). Using common enzyme (POD, ALP) gives good result with high linearity.
Detection of Mouse IgG(H+L) by Western Blotting
Incubation time for blocking : 20 min.
Sample M: Biotinylated Protein Marker (100 dilution, 5 μl)
1 : Mouse Serum (2.5 μl)
2 : Mouse Serum (5.0 μl)
3 : Mouse Serum (10 μl)
Mouse IgG (H+L) in Mouse Serum detected with Biotinylated anti-Mouse
IgG (H+L)
Very little background occurs, indicating exceptional blocking performance.
Prevention of non-specific antibody binding in immunohistochemical application
Histological staining of normal organ tissue slices had been performed based on the following protocol, and the efficiency of different blocking agents wrere compared (20 minutes blocking time). The dots stained brown show Fibronectin existence. The key for successful observation is the contrast between the stained dots and the background, Blocking One gives the lowest background.
